"hands-on" physiotherapy
A detailed assessment to pinpoint the exact cause of your
pain and more importantly the stiff joints or tight muscles that
cause dysfunction causing pain will direct the appropriate
treatment. Physiotherapists at All Care are experts in using
their hands to help your stiff, sore joints and muscles loosen
up so that your body can move freely again in balance.
Massage
Massage can accelerate the body’s healing and recovery
process. It can relax tight or stressed out muscles. Deep tissue
releases are used to lengthen overactive muscles that are
creating excessive stresses on your joints leading to pain.
Joint mobilisations / manipulations
Joints are the moving links in your skeletal structure. They
are meant to move freely. If they are restricted they will
become irritated and cause pain. Your spine is made up of lots
of moving parts like the links in a bicycle chain. If your spine
has a stiff link it will cause dysfunction leading to a pain. A
detailed ‘hands on” assessment will pinpoint the right level or
link of your spine that is restricted. Joint mobilisations are
specific techniques that gently move and stretch the stiff
joints. Gentle manipulation of a stiff joint can also be used to
get your joints moving again.
Effective stretches
Tight stiff muscles need to be targeted by specific stretches
to be effective. At All Care Physiotherapy, you will receive the
right stretches to help you recover fast.
Specific rehabilitative exercise
A detailed assessment will pinpoint the specific exercise
programme you will need to get better. At All Care
Physiotherapy, we use the latest specific exercise based on
research and often use a Diagnostic Ultrasound to image and
teach you to exercise the right muscles to help you improve.
Clinical Pilates
Pilates is a unique form of exercise that concentrates on
strength, stability and flexibility. All Care Physiotherapy uses
specialised equipment which uses spring resistance against whole
body movement. Exercises are progressed on the machines to
incorporate positions utilising an unstable base leading to
greater core body stability.
Clinical Pilates is for people who have had spine or joint
problems and want to improve their muscle stability leading to
less pain and improved function. All Care Physiotherapy only has
physiotherapists that design and supervise your Clinical Pilates
programme. This entails that your programme is specific to your
problem and more importantly ensures your safety while
exercising.
Post surgery rehabilitation
All Care Physiotherapy has had over 15 years experience
rehabilitating patients with orthopaedic surgery. We work with
Brisbane’s leading surgeons at the Brisbane Private Hospital to
provide comprehensive rehabilitation care starting post surgery
in hospital through to your full recovery. We work with your
surgeon and know the surgeon’s protocols so we can maximise your
recovery safely. We have a rehabilitation gym complete with
Pilates to help you get on your feet faster.
Ergonomics assessments
Neck, back, shoulder and arm pain are common complaints
experienced by office workers due to static and repetitive
postures at work particularly using the computer. At All Care
Physiotherapy, we know that treating the problem is important
but assessing what poor habitual postures at the worksite that
contributes to the problem will improve the patient’s recovery.
We can come to your worksite, assess your workstation and
recommend any changes to it and any ergonomic accessories that
may be appropriate to improve your working posture.
Postural assessments
Posture is defined as the alignment of your skeletal
structure. Optimum alignment results in less stress on muscles,
ligaments and joints. At All Care Physiotherapy, we can assess
your posture and give you advice on how to achieve the optimal
posture so you can decrease further stress on your body.
Pre employment screening
Different occupations need different physical capabilities.
All Care Physiotherapy can perform a pre employment screening to
assess a future worker’s physical capability for any role within
an organisation.
Sports screening
Injuries can be heart breaking to a person who is looking to
succeed in a particular sport or physical event. At All Care
Physiotherapy, we know that providing a sports screening
assessment will limit any injuries that may occur. Our
Physiotherapists can assess joint range, muscle length,
strength, coordination as well as functional skills necessary
for a particular sport and provide the necessary specific
exercises to rectify the problem.
